What is it?
Acupuncture is a system of healing, practised in Asia for millennia, that works through stimulating the body's curative responses - its immune system.
Though often used and described as a means of relief from pain, the main focus of acupuncture is the improvement of well-being as a whole rather than the treatment of symptoms alone.
In traditional Chinese philosophy the body's health is held to depend upon the smooth and balanced flow of the body's 'Qi', its motivating energy, through a network of channels beneath the skin.
The 'Qi' is composed of equal and opposing qualities, the Ying and the Yang, and when these are out of balance, illnesses may develop. Acupuncture, by the insertion of fine needles into the channels of the 'Qi' to re-align its flow, seeks to restore the body's natural balance.
Many people say that as well as getting relief from a particular condition, acupuncture increases their energy levels, helps them sleep and to relax, and enhances their general sense of well-being.

Yes dear it is true that acupuncture is a system of natural healing. It is a historic technique and nowadays it’s becoming even more popular due to its positive results. After knowing its benefits I am also thinking to try this out for my stress relief from a Mississauga acupuncture clinic.
