The Forbidden City

故宫 ‘Gu Gong’ - meaning in Chinese ‘the Old Palace’ - is what we know in the West as the Forbidden City, from whose walls the 24 emperors who resided there rarely ventured except to sample the splendours of the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. A favourite with Lucy.

thank you, China Mike

Qiuniu

Here is Qiuniu ( 囚牛, Qiú Niú )

Qiuniu is the eldest son of the Dragon. He is a small yellow dragon who loves music, so it's not surprising to find his picture on the top of musical instruments in many parts of China.
